CEO & Founder
D. Keith Pigues is CEO and Founder of Luminas Strategy. He is a native of Memphis, TN and currently lives in Research Triangle Park, NC. During his corporate, academic, entrepreneurial and consulting career, he has lived in Atlanta, Seattle, Chicago, Los Angeles, St. Louis, Houston and Manchester (U.K.). His experience includes c-suite executive leadership positions leading global marketing, strategy and sales at Fortune 100 and mid-market private equity backed firms in a range of industries, including information technology, healthcare, agriculture biotechnology, automotive, commercial printing and building products. He has held executive positions at CEMEX, RR Donnelley, ADP, Honeywell International and Ply Gem Industries. He served as an adjunct professor of leadership in the MBA program at the University of North Carolina’s Kenan-Flagler Business School, as well as a tenured professor of management and business school dean at North Carolina Central University. He received an undergraduate degree from Christian Brothers University and a Masters degree from the University of North Carolina’s Kenan-Flagler Business School. He is co-author of Winning with Customers: A Playbook for B2B. Vice President, Service Delivery
Greg Smith is Vice President of Service Delivery at Luminas Strategy. He is a native of Connecticut, spent twenty years in Atlanta and currently lives in Research Triangle Park, NC. He has over 15 years of increasing and varied responsibility in consulting, hardware/software implementation and professional services with Manhattan Associates – serving customers in a range of industries, including major retail and third-party logistics companies. He served as a senior leader responsible for customer experience, including call center operations, product support, pricing administration, and strategic account management in the transportation industry. His expertise in operations, strategic account management planning and P&L management for educational services enable him to effectively lead client engagements and continuously improve Luminas Strategy’s service offerings to meet clients’ needs. He received a bachelor’s degree from Georgia Institute of Technology. Bryan Goerger is an Executive Advisor with Luminas Strategy. He grew up in Minnesota, yet spent most of his career in California, Texas and Switzerland before returning to Minnesota. His experience leading global market development and commercialization for highly advanced products, along with his experience launching innovative value-adding solutions in North & South America, Europe, Australia and emerging markets across Asia prepared him well to support clients in the development of innovative customer-driven growth strategies. He received his undergraduate degree from Augsburg College and completed graduate studies at Arizona State University and IMD (Lausanne, Switzerland). He also served in the United States Marine Corps. Connie Mester is an Executive Advisor with Luminas Strategy. She is a native of Florida and currently lives in the Research Triangle Park, NC – having spent time in Hartford and Atlanta. She has deep experience across health and life science industries and a firm grasp of the dynamics and complexities of the evolving healthcare landscape. Her experience includes marketing, strategy, business operations and management with health insurance companies, government, academic institutions, hospital systems, pharmaceutical and medical device companies – including experience with Aetna and Cigna. She is founder and former CEO of Thrive 4-7, as well as co-founder and Chief Innovation Officer of the Global Pain Institute. She holds a Masters of Public Health from the University of South Florida and a Bachelor of Science in Health Education from the University of Florida. Everett Darby is an Executive Advisor with Luminas Strategy. A native of Dallas, TX, he currently resides in Atlanta, GA. He leverages over three decades of executive leadership experience in the chemicals, ingredients, and beverage industries to help organizations accelerate innovation and develop profitable growth strategies. He has held executive leadership roles at Monsanto, Nutrasweet and The Coca-Cola Company, where he was known for building high performance teams and delivering results. He has led corporate innovation and managed strategic global account relationships with some of the largest Fortune 100 companies. He holds Adjunct Professorships at both the University of Georgia Terry School of Business and Georgia State University Robbins School of Business. He received his undergraduate degree from Morehouse College and a Masters degree from Washington University. Laura M. Machaba Abiodun is an Executive Advisor with Luminas Strategy. She currently lives Atlanta Georgia, after returning from a 10-year expatriate in South Africa. She is an accomplished senior leader with extensive profit & loss, stakeholder engagement, strategic planning, market development, competitive positioning, enterprise intelligence and change management experience. She is a proven team leader with a track record of innovation, collaboration and influence as a global senior executive and board member. Her diverse industry experience ranges from Professional Services, Energy, Retail, Higher Education, Government and Media industries. She received an undergraduate degree from the University of the North, Postgraduate degree from Witwatersrand, Masters degrees from Governors State University and Rosary College, and additional graduate studies at Harvard University. She is a Visiting Faculty Research Fellow at Georgia Institute of Technology.
